  • Fox had a broadcast of the Washington Redskins/Tampa Bay Buccaneers game scheduled for Week 16. On the day the game was supposed to be broadcast, President Clinton was impeached by Congress and Fox broke into local programming to cover the events. The football game began as scheduled and was shown in split screen with Fox News' coverage of the proceedings, eventually being joined in progress during the second half.

  • NOTE: During Week 6 of the regular season, Thom Brennaman was set to call the NY Giants vs. San Francisco 49ers football game with lead analyst Troy Aikman instead of Joe Buck, who was calling the NLCS. Sam Rosen was scheduled to fill in for Thom Brennaman while Brennaman filled in for Buck. However that changed when Fox Sports president Eric Shanks brought up the idea of the two-sport, same-day doubleheader if both the Giants and Cardinals won their divisional series. When the Cards pulled off their miracle ninth-inning rally against the Nationals on Friday night, Buck was off to San Francisco instead of Washington D.C.
  • During Week 5 of the regular season Krista Voda filled in for Jaime Maggio while Maggio sidelined for the MLB Playoffs on TBS.
  • During Weeks 6-8 of the regular season Kristina Park filled in for Jaime Maggio, who was still calling the MLB Playoffs for TBS.
  • During Week 5 of the regular season, Sam Rosen filled-in for Dick Stockton while he called the NLDS on TBS.
  • During Weeks 7 and 8 of the regular season, Thom Brennaman filled in for Joe Buck while Buck calls MLB playoffs for Fox.

  • The announcing team of Ron Pitts/Mike Martz/Kristina Pink did not call any games in Weeks 5-8, 10-12.
  • Fox did not send its #2 team of Kenny Albert, Daryl Johnston, and Tony Siragusa to cover the playoffs, marking the first time since Fox acquired NFL rights that they did this. Instead the #3 team of Thom Brennaman, Brian Billick, and Laura Okmin were in the booth for the Divisional Playoffs, as they called the Seattle Seahawks at Atlanta Falcons matchup.
  • Erin Andrews joined the Moore/Burke/Brown crew during the Thanksgiving Classic and the NFC Playoffs.
  • Chris Myers joined the Buck/Aikman/Oliver crew during the NFC Playoffs.
  • After the 2012 season, Ron Pitts left Fox Sports after being part of the NFL broadcast team for 18 years and joined OK!TV. Kevin Burkhardt replaced him.

  • During weeks 6, 7 and 8 Tamir Moore filled in for Joe Buck, Thom Brennaman filled in for Tamir Morre, Sam Rosen filled in for Kevin Burkhardt, and Charissa Thompson filled in for Erin Andrews; Buck, Burkhardt and Andrews were all on MLB on FOX playoff duty. Justin Kutcher filled in for Brennaman.
  • For week 7 Tim Brando replaced Mike Goldberg after Goldberg performed poorly during a week 6 game and cursed out his critics on Twitter.[56]
  • During Week 10, Matt Hasselbeck joined the team of Chris Myers and Ronde Barber. Hasselbeck's team, the Colts, were on a bye week.
  • During Week 13 Dick Stockton, Brady Quinn, and Kristina Pink were assigned college football responsibilities, leading to a make-shift broadcast team 6. As the rotational broadcaster Brennaman was moved down to fill-in for Stockton. He was joined by McNabb and Charissa Thompson.
